A note to our readers

Heads up, Hurler readers. From this point forward, whenever we publish longish posts, only the first few paragraphs will appear on our front page, not the entire article. To read the full thing, you'll need to click on the "Read More" link at the bottom of the post. When you see that link, you'll know there's more Hurler goodness just a click away.

I've already complained about how a string of terrible performances from rostered RPs has destroyed my Hurler league team. Sadly, things are not improving. From last night ...

What is wrong with these people? Don't they know they're paid more money than most of us can dream about to get batters out? Are they all headcases, incapable of properly locating a pitch when the game is on the line and walks are unacceptable? Why must they destroy me like this? Would teams be better served by running the Nick Swishers and Cody Rosses of the world out to the mound more often?

So many questions ...

BTW, I kept Young in the graphic just to show my misery didn't end with the relief corps.

Brutal. RPs have off nights but rarely all at once.

Bob, please trade/drop Hanrahan so that he will lose the bad mojo and stop killing me in my other leagues.

Thanks in advance,

It's going to take a month of quality pitching to erase that day from your ERA and WHIP.

It's going to take two years of counseling to heal the wounds this team will leave with you. You, sir, will be a changed man as a result of this experience. Get some help ASAP.....

Has there ever been a less appealing group of closer candidates than the ones presented to us by the Washington Nationals? Tavarez, Kippy Wells, and Mock are ... less than palatable.

I just added Beimel to my DLs in two leagues and left it at that.

Yep, Beimel to my money-league DL. Goodbye, Alex Gordon. Somebody beat me to him in the Hurler league. Bastard!

picked up Mock in the Hurler league before he pitched last night. he wasn`t active so still hoping for some cheap saves. he was closing in AAA. he might not be very good, but he may suck the least of that Nats bullpen. we`ll see.
